We believe everyone should be able to capture ideas quickly. Dotly is built with Apple’s accessibility technologies and follows your device’s accessibility settings.

VoiceOver

All screens and controls are fully navigable with VoiceOver. Core actions are clearly labeled (for example, the send button announces “Send,” and its state is announced as “Sending,” “Queued,” or “Sent”). Informational banners are exposed as a single, concise accessibility element.

Dynamic Type and Bold Text

Text throughout the app respects your preferred text size and Bold Text settings. The compose editor and lists use system text styles and adjust automatically.

Increase Contrast and Reduce Transparency

The interface uses system colors and materials that adapt to “Increase Contrast” and “Reduce Transparency,” maintaining clarity and legibility in challenging visual environments.

Reduce Motion

Animations are minimized or disabled when “Reduce Motion” is enabled. For example, onboarding transitions respect your preference to reduce motion.

Differentiate Without Color

Status indicators rely on more than color alone. For example, “Queued” and “Sent” use distinct symbols (clock vs. checkmark) so meaning is clear even without color cues.

Keyboard, Switch Control, and Voice Control

The app works well with a hardware keyboard (including shortcuts like Command–Return to send, Command–Z / Shift–Command–Z for undo/redo). Standard controls are compatible with Switch Control and Voice Control.
